Rock Characterization Services
Our laboratory provides comprehensive petrographic and fluid inclusion microthermometry services designed to support exploration, reservoir characterization, and mineral petrogenesis analysis. Through detailed petrographic examinations, we identify mineral assemblages, textures, and diagenetic histories to reveal the geological evolution of your samples. Complementing this, our fluid inclusion studies determine the temperature, pressure, and composition of trapped fluids, offering valuable insights into fluid migration pathways, ore formation, and thermal histories. With state-of-the-art microscopy and analytical equipment, our experts deliver precise, reliable interpretations that help clients make informed decisions across the oil, gas, geothermal, and mining sectors.
Petrographic analyses of sandstone and carbonate reservoirs
Detailed petrographical analyses and model analyses of depositional and diagenetic components as well as quantification of the different pore types. Construction of paragenetic sequence of the main diagenetic alteration events during basin evolution. Link the spatial and temporal distribution of diagenetic alteration to depositional facies and sequence stratigraphy.

Fluid inclusion analyses
Detailed analyses of fluid inclusions in order to determine temperature, fluid composition and pressure.

- Electron microscope analyses
Electron microscope analysis of depositional/diagenetic minerals and chemical zones within individual minerals guided by backscattered electron imaging

- Isotope analyses
Sampling and stable isotope analyses of discrete diagenetic carbonate-sulfate phases, obtained by microscope mounted dental micro-drill
Prices are project-specific and always include preparation of thin sections and double polished thick sections (wafers) and assistance with interpretation
